Honeymoon Island State Park is accessible from Dunedin by causeway and offers Gulf beach access and osprey nesting areas. Blue Jays spring training at TD Ballpark runs through February and March each year. Dunedin is genuinely worth exploring rather than just passing through.
Tarpon Springs (15 Minutes North)
Tarpon Springs is home to the Sponge Docks, a working waterfront district shaped by the Greek sponge-diving culture that has defined the city for over a century.
